Our caring and competent staff are available around the clock to assist with planned and unplanned needs. Our goal is to offer assistance when help is needed and encouragement to be as self-sufficient and independent as possible.

To ensure each of our residents is happy and well cared for, the following services are included in our basic monthly fee:

Housekeeping Services
Beds are made daily. Bath towels are changed twice a week. Bed linens are changed once a week. Bathrooms are cleaned and bed linens and personal laundry are washed weekly. Apartments are vacuumed and dusted weekly. Our housekeepers are very careful when dusting and vacuuming around resident’s personal items, especially those very delicate in nature.

Daily Meals
Three home-cooked and nutritious meals served seven days a week in our elegant dining room. A hot breakfast, made to order, is served from 7-9am. Cold breakfast items are available after 9am. Dinner, the main meal of the day is served midday (see sample menu). Supper, featuring lighter fare, is served from 5-6pm.

Our meals are not only tasty, they are designed to follow the food pyramid to assure we meet all nutritional needs.

Meal time is a very social time at Bay Ridge and residents are encouraged to join the community in the dining room for meals, but those who choose to dine in their rooms may have a meal brought to them by staff for a modest charge. Family and friends are welcome to join residents for a meal or a snack at any time for a nominal fee.

24/7 Snacks
Healthy snacks including home-baked muffins and cookies, sandwiches, fresh fruit, ice cream, coffee, hot chocolate, tea and juice are available 24-hours a day, each and every day.

Medication Assistance
Medication assistance in the form of reminders, opening of containers or administration by staff is available 24/7 and is supervised by a professional nurse.

Daily Wellness Checks
To give us an opportunity to chat with each resident and ensure they are well, we deliver the mail and newspapers to each resident on a daily basis.

Handyman Services
Our friendly and courteous maintenance staff is available to do all those annoying, yet necessary tasks such as adjusting the thermostat, connecting the cable, changing light bulbs and hanging pictures. They are also on-hand to touch-up paint, stop dripping faucets and resolve other more serious maintenance issues.
