Testimonials

On behalf of our entire family we want to thank the staff at Edgewood for the wonderful care our mom received. She was at your facility for approximately six weeks and the care, compassion and thoughtfulness given to her was outstanding. We could not have asked for a kinder group of people to be taking care of mom. You not only took care of her but you took care of us as well.

I can’t thank you all enough for all you did for my grandfather. You got a rough, gruff man and turned him into a softie with your gentle and loving care. I know your poor chef received hell at times for not cooking the 1940s comfort food – but our whole family was so impressed by the meals we received there and know he was fed a healthy diet. You took a man in mourning and kept him active by giving him the job of cooking bread. I see time and time again how God works through all of you, and the founder of Grand Pines should be proud of his staff.

You all have created a place that any of us would be grad to retire to – and I am sure you have not seen the last of the “angels.” As there is now a “hole” that grandpa has left, please continue your care to others to fill it. I know he will be watching over you.

I pray God will bless you all tenfold for all that you do – you all deserve it!

This is long overdue – but I wanted to thank you and the staff at Grand Pines for all the love and compassion you showed my dad. The flowers you sent me at work were absolutely beautiful. Dad loved Grand Pines and the friends he made there. Thanks again for your support.

I want to thank you all for the great care you gave my dad during the last few months of his life. It was such a blessing having people who were so good to him, even though he truly was not himself while there. I know he would have thanked you all if he could have. He always had a heart for the elderly and would so have appreciated the kindness and love you show to your residents. God bless you all – I will miss you.

On behalf of our family I would like to thank you and your staff personally for the way your helped my mom during the later years of her life. She was treated with gentle care and respect in a clean and friendly environment.

I have heard stories of how you sit with her when she was having some anxiety and listened to music and even sang together. You have no idea how reassuring that was to know that mom was in good hands. And thanks for all you did last week to help up transition mom from earth to Heaven. It was the best we all could do and I appreciate it. Thanks so much.

A very special thanks to you and the rest of the wonderful staff at Bay Ridge. The care and attention you all gave mom over the past years is very much appreciated. Bay Ridge truly was a home for her.

Jane and I enjoyed the interaction with staff and many of the other residents. We will always have good memories of her stay in your care.

I am writing to commend you and thank you and your staff for the loving care that my mother received while living at your center. As soon as she moved in, I noticed in particular the unconditionally loving way that the nurse Lori spoke with and handled my mother. Time passed, and even though my mother could be “ornery” with people, both my sister and I were grateful that she was getting quality care with your organization and everyone working there.

My mother felt that she was “at home” and never wanted to leave. We could have put her in another facility at that time, but after evaluating alternatives I know Railside was “the best choice” for her.

Thank you all for the kind and caring way you make Karl feel at home at Bay Ridge. We also appreciate how you help family members – whether it is accommodating the last minute meal guest, or sending information for tax season or providing guidance to ease a stressful situation.
Karl is looking forward to coming back to his friends and all the special events you have for residents. You are an outstanding group – friendly, supportive and full of compassion.

Moving to the Village at the Pines was a great choice for me. The warm welcoming atmosphere, the staff and residents made me feel at home immediately. The various social activities as well as the safety and security of the residents is a must in retirement living and they provide it all here at “The Village.”

We would like to thank the staff and residents at Railside for the love, kindness and support shown to our dad over the last couple of years. You provided him with a quiet, calm and helpful atmosphere at a very confusing time of his life.
It was very reassuring to us that he was always well cared for.

We also are thankful for his neighbors who got to know him and made him feel welcome and safe. He often told us what a nice place it was and that he had nothing to complain about. We will always remember you and thank you so much for sharing your gift of compassion.

Mom lived at Waverly Meadows for almost five years and it proved to be exactly what she needed at the time. The staff then – and now – were absolutely the best to work with. They were caring and efficient and showed the utmost respect for Mom.

We always found that Waverly Meadows was clean both inside and outside, the maintenance folks willing to help, activities will planned and enjoyable.

Each morning I look out my windows at buildings, shrubs, trees, lawns, walls, sidewalks, cars, people…I hear traffic, birds, snow-blowers, lawnmowers, people’s voices … there are continuous changes of atmosphere, light, wind, clouds, precipitation, colors, nature and human activity.

My apartment is convenient, comfortable, and allows me a degree of solitude. A daily hot meal in the dining room and a range of community activities bring me the stimulus and company of new acquaintances and developing friendships. Management faithfully strives for the well-being of residents. The carport protects my car from snow and intense sun, ready for use.

I am old, I am blessed.
