Specialized Dementia Care

Come home to where the care begins
Individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or other memory impairments often experience a decline in social and communication skills which can make living at home or even in a general assisted living environment difficult. Many of the life skills that are necessary to cope with day-to-day living have been lost through the disease process.

Each of our assisted living centers has a specialized memory care unit called “The Terrace.” Here, the environment has been designed to reduce stress and confusion. Many of the obstacles, distractions and negative influences which are often disturbing or confusing to a person with memory impairments have been removed.

This modified environment makes fewer demands on lost skills and often results in reduced anxiety and greater ability to function on a day-to-day basis—ultimately enhancing the quality of life for the person with impairments. Residents often experience reduced anxiety, show a greater ability to function and an improved quality of life when living in The Terrace.

The Terrace offers a secured environment with controlled access, giving family members peace of mind, while enabling the person with dementia freedom to enjoy their surroundings.

The caring staff at The Terrace are dedicated and trained to address the special needs of our residents.

To ensure each of our residents is happy and well cared for, the following amenities and services are included in our basic monthly fee:
